Furthermore, the average salary of construction plant workers is higher than the national average with some jobs earning £30,000 per year and many upwards of that figure. Where to Start?

To get into the construction industry firstly you need a Construction Skills Certification Scheme card (CSCS ) which is a verification that you have the correct qualifications required to carry out the job on the building site that you are working on. You then should also have a Construction Plant Competence Scheme card (CPCS) or another type of plant competency card which proves the skills of a plant operator.
