The Level 2 Bricklaying Apprenticeship is equivalent to 5 GCSE passes, or grades A*-C (or 9-4). The apprenticeship typically takes place over the space of around 18 months. During this apprenticeship, participants will be trained in the most vital foundations of the trade, such as how to construct and repair walls, tunnel linings, chimneys and chimney stacks, decorative stonework, cavity walling and fireplaces. They may also be required to work restoration projects to refurbish brickwork and masonry.
