The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills. This project has been made possible thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding to deliver local UKSPF projects, which forms part of the Government’s wider Levelling Up agenda.

The Appointed Person training course is a five-day course aimed at those that will take responsibility for lifting operations. The course is accredited by both CPCS and NPORS, and it culminates in the candidate being given a trained operator card, showing that they have knowledge of safe operating systems and procedures that comply with health and safety regulations.
The Appointed Person course is primarily geared towards managers and supervisors that will oversee the operation of cranes and other lifting equipment. Operators can also take the course if they are looking to progress further whilst already demonstrating a good knowledge of Crane & Lifting Operations.
The NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Steel Erecting is a work-based, nationally recognised qualification suitable for those who specialise in steel erecting in their job.
The qualification can be completed on the job and does not involve any time out of work for training, making it a simple and convenient way for those working in steel erecting to have their skills formally recognised.
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in steel erecting in the construction and engineering industries.
Completion of this qualification will lead to a Gold CSCS Advanced Craft card.
This qualification is aimed at individuals with responsibility for supervising work activities in the Construction working environment. The qualification is at Level 3 and is suitable for experienced Construction workers who have the desire and/or need to carry out activities including identifying work methods and resources required to complete tasks safely by organising and coordinating colleagues.
On completion of this course you will be able to apply for your CSCS Gold Card.
The NVQ Level 3 Site Carpentry is aimed anyone who is working in the trade and are daily involved in joinery activities in the workplace. We know not every Joinery will cover all the range of work, but this qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in carpentry and joinery.
You will carry out first fix flooring, second fixing operations and carry out second fixing double doors and mouldings. All work completed must be done in accordance with Building Regulations and Industry recognised safe working practices, including the disposal of waste. The NVQ is design to be a flexible work base programme.
Completion of this NVQ will allow you to apply for your Gold CSCS Advanced Craft card.
This NVQ level 3 Plastering is aimed anyone who is working in the trade and are daily involved in Plastering activities in the workplace. We know that not every plasterer will cover all the range of work, but the qualification has been developed to allow opportunities for those carrying out work in either solid or fibrous Plastering.
You will be expected prove knowledge and competence in working at heights, calculating quantities and wastage and the use of powered and hand tools and equipment. All work completed must be done in accordance with Building Regulations and Industry recognised safe working practices, including the disposal of waste.
The NVQ is design to be a flexible work base programme. In gaining a Level 3 qualification , It can open a wide range of opportunities from running your own company, gaining new contracts, gaining new skills and employing your own work force .

The 5-day SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) training course is one of the courses that form a part of the CITB Site Safety Plus range of courses and is available via a network of CITB accredited providers. It is aimed at team leaders, foremen, gangers, first line managers and supervisors with supervisory responsibilities and a need to understand their legal duties.
The 2-day SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) training course is one of the courses that forms part of the CITB Site Safety Plus range of courses and is available via a network of CITB accredited providers. It is aimed at team leaders, foremen, gangers, first line managers and supervisors with supervisory responsibilities and a need to understand their legal duties.
Our Level 3 Retrofit Advisor course is aimed at learners who are interested in having the skills and knowledge to provide retrofit advice within the Construction, Energy, Housing , Education and Care industry. Our short course covers aspects that are key to being able to provide advice around subject matter areas such as but not limited to: Energy Advice, Mould and Damp advice, Healthy & Warm homes, Sustainability.
Principles of Retrofit Advice and climate change. Our courses are flexible and can be bespoke to meet the specific needs of the organisation or individual. The course is also designed to hep with communication skills and provides progression routes into Retrofit Co-ordinator.
This regulated qualification is for those wishing to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in the Installation and Commissioning of Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment in Domestic, Commercial and Industrial locations. The qualification has been designed in conjunction with the Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation IET Code of Practice 5th edition, BS 7671:2018+2:2022 Requirements for Electrical Installations and current industry requirements.
This qualification is aimed at experienced and practicing electrical operatives.
On application for the qualification, the Approved Centre will carry out an Initial Assessment of the learner’s capability to complete the qualification.
Learners holding the following will confirm their suitability to enrol on the qualification.
Level 3 Electrotechnical vocational qualification which includes the initial verification and certification of electrical installations, and a
BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations (current edition) qualification.
Learners not holding the above qualifications, will be required to provide evidence to the Approved Centre of suitable alternative qualifications and/or provide confirmation of their related work experience, skills and knowledge of current electrical regulations. This evidence must be documented and retained by the Approved Centre.
Note: For learners to meet the membership requirements of any competent person scheme, registration body or other professional recognition there may be additional requirements.
This qualification covers the covers the knowledge, understanding and some of the skills associated with the design, specification, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning and handover of electrical energy storage systems (EESS). It follows the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and industry guidance, together with the requirements of BS 7671. It is aimed at competent electricians who wish to demonstrate they have the necessary understanding and skills associated with an EESS associated typically with a dwelling.
It has a range of relevant outcomes covering statutory legislation applicable to EESS, the principles of batteries and EESS, how to specify and design an EESS, installation, inspection and testing, and handover of an EESS. It is recognised by MCS. MCS create and maintain standards that allows for the certification of products, installers and their installations. MCS certifies low-carbon products and installations used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources. MCS is a mark of quality. Membership of MCS demonstrates adherence to these recognised industry standards; highlighting quality, competency and compliance.
