What does the forklift training course involve?

The forklift training course (also referred to as FLT training) teaches the learners how to operate a forklift safely and how they should carry out various safety checks and procedures on the machine.

They are also taught how to understand the capabilities, functions and all safety aspects of each machine.

The learner has a final assessment which comprises of a theory test followed by a practical test this is all set out by the awarding body.

Course Objective

The learner is assessed on site through a range of methods such as observations, evidence generated from the workplace, written questions, witness testimonials and professional discussion.

The course teaches our delegates how to operate a Forklift safely and how they should carry out various safety checks/procedures on the machine. They are also taught how to understand the capabilities, functions and and all safety aspects of each machine.

There is no fixed deadline, but Refresher Training is normally carried out every 3–5 years but may be required sooner where operators are slipping into bad habits.
