Who Should Take The Bulldozer Training Course?

Crawler dozers and tractors are potentially dangerous and damaging machines. They are used to move heavy loads and transport earth and materials around site. Their size and operation mean that the poor use of machinery can lead to accidents and injuries.

It is the responsibility of site owners and employers to ensure the safety of all people on site. As such, any employee or worker that will be using this type of machinery should have the skills and knowledge to operate the machinery safely. The Crawler dozer/tractor training course is suitable for any individual that will be using this type of machinery.

Course Objectives

The objective of crawler training is to teach the safe operation of these potentially dangerous machines. Candidates will be taught to a level that meets Health and Safety Executive regulations and successful candidates will receive certification. Employers sending their workers on the course can ensure that they provide a safe working environment for employees and other site users.

What Will Participants Learn?

Delegates will be taught general construction safety awareness skills. They will learn the roles and responsibilities of people on-site, and how their own role fits into this.

Delegates will also be taught the basic operation of machinery, according to manufacturer instructions. They will learn to conduct pre-use safety checks and how to traverse a variety of grounds and ground types. Candidates will also learn to construct ramps and how to safely create stockpiles.
