Carry on reading or contact the team of experienced assessors here at SB Skills Solutions to find out more!
Why apply for your NVQ Level 2 Internal Wall Insulation?
One of the biggest benefits of obtaining your NVQ Level 2 Internal Wall Insulation qualification is the validation you’ll receive for your skills and experience.
Obtaining this qualification demonstrates your competency as a worker within the construction industry and can help you and your company obtain further work under the PAS2035 accreditation.
You can then apply for your CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) skilled workers card, then progress to the level 3 qualification to obtain the gold supervisors card.
What are the NVQ Level 2 Internal Wall Insulation application requirements?
Designed to be taken by experienced Installers only, the entry requirements for this qualification state that applicants must be currently working in the trade, have experience in Interior Wall Installation.
This qualification, however, is not to be confused with an Interior Wall Installation training course.
Instead of teaching you these skills, you’ll be demonstrating the skills and experience you’ve already learnt to an assessor.
How are applicants assessed?
First and foremost, you’ll be assessed using the On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) method.
Instead of taking a written exam, you’ll be assigned a dedicated Internal Wall Insulation assessor and tasked with completing a range of relevant installing work in order to create a portfolio of work-based evidence.
This evidence will then be used to secure your qualification.
Examples of work-based evidence includes on-site observation, photographs, health and safety documents such as risk assessments and method statements, and videos of relevant roofing work you’ve completed as well as recorded conversations between yourself and the assessor.
Once enough work-based evidence has been collected, it’ll be submitted for verification and you’ll be able to claim your NVQ qualification.
How much does an NVQ Level 2 Internal Wall Insulation cost?
The cost of obtaining your NVQ Level 2 Internal Wall Insulation qualification will naturally vary depending on whether you’re applying as a private individual or an employee of a company.
This is because some companies may decide to pay for the course on your behalf and receive a discount if they’re hoping to upskill a group of employees at once.

As applicants are assessed on site, no time away from the workplace is required, making obtaining this qualification relatively fast and easy.
