Course Objectives:

A ride-on roller is a piece of heavy machinery used in the construction industry to compact the ground and leave a smooth and level finish.

It is the employer’s duty to ensure that anyone working for them that will be using heavy machinery like a ride-on roller has received adequate training to do so safely and competently.

Our ride-on roller training course aims to provide candidates with all the theory and practical training that they require to operate a ride-on roller confidently and safely.

Training Bodies:

We can provide a ride-on roller course accredited by the Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) or the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS), depending on your specific requirements.

We also offer in-house training for those that have very bespoke training requirements.

Certification:

Once you have completed your ride-on roller training you will be required to take a verbal theory test and a practical assessment. If you pass these assessments, you will be awarded a certificate to prove your competence.

You will receive certification from one of the following, depending which training body the course was with.

NPORS Traditional Operator Card – Valid for 5 years

NPORS CSCS Operator Card (Construction Industry) – Valid for 2 years (non-renewable)
